Damn. If there's a bright side it's that he was competing for a roster spot at a very crowded position. And as one of the bigger name CFAs it may have been tough to sneak him on the practice squad.

Best thing that could happen for the Vikings.

The recent thing I've been hearing over the last 2 years from UDFAs, draft picks, players, FAs is how much they love the Vikings organization and how well they are treated. This kids says it also.....they are building a strong culture.

This is the one part of the game I hate.  You get all your ducks in a row, make all the right moves, draft and sign free agents, look good on paper, and then the injury bug comes to town.
Maybe I am overly sensitive after Peterson, Teddy, Sam, etc. but it seems like every year someone or a group of someone's go down.  All teams have it but it sure is the unknown factor that can upset the apple cart.  Just ask the Packers.

Call me cruel, but after Teddy, Adrian, Dalvin, and Sam, I breathe a sigh of relief when the injury roulette lands on a 3rd-line UDFA.

On a related note, Adam Thielen, when asked if he liked playing in the slot, responded  "I do. If the ball is coming there. If the ball isn't going there, I don't want to be there."

Just kidding. That was Emmanuel Sanders.

How much weight can he put on with a full season off?  Is that off the table given his injury?
