Shaquem Griffin To Be On Hand For The Draft
#1
UCF LB Shaquem Griffin plans on attending the 2018 NFL Draft.
Griffin (6'0/227) is not expected to be drafted until Day 2 at the earliest -- and probably in the third round at the highest -- but we're thrilled to see that not only did he receive an invitation to festivities in Dallas, he'll also be on-hand. His is a truly inspirational story, but beyond that, he's a heck of a football player and it's lovely that he'll have his moment in the sun later this month. Regardless of when he's drafted.

Great story...I still think start of Day 3 is where he'll come off the board...easy guy to root for...

If he lasts to late Day 2/early Day 3, the Vikings should snap him up.

You can literally line him up at all three levels of the D...I'd let him compete with Gedeon...

I hope it doesn’t become reality TV / watching a car crash in slow motion / as he sits there hour after hour and pick after pick as players come off the board and someone with a microphone and a camera is there to ask him if he has any idea whether this team or that team likes him enough to select him now. They love to show you the disappontment on the kids’ faces as they fall in the draft. Pick after pick, disappointment growing and growing. That is just brutal to watch.
Then finally the jubilation and redemption of getting picked by soneone, anyone, but it just happens to be the perfect team for him. Everything is a soap opera.

"That is just brutal to watch."

I agree I hate that story line that happens almost every year, unless it's to an ass hat like Manziel.

How do you think Zimmer sees this guy?

You know Zimmer likes guys with heart and motivation like this and the physical tools he has.  Would he groom him to replace Barr or find a role like a joker safety that might replace Sendejo?
