Hit me a little hard at times this week...

Living in the host city and seeing/feeling all the SB hype. You really can't completely escape it, as hard as I've tried.

I told my wife, I can't imagine the state I would be in right now if The Vikings were playing at home in the SB this week?  She joked how I'd be trying to explain why I just spent XXXX $'s on a SB tix. She's probably right - bucket list item.

Sigh...

Yes, I imagine it sucks. All you want to do is forget about it but its up your ass probably everywhere you turn in the Twin Cities. It would have been amazing for the Vikings to make it....obviously.

I get the melancholy....I haven't watched or read one second of any Superbowl coverage. Easy for me to do however here in south Florida. Where its going to be 75 degrees today!  :3

I love FL this time of year, its just perfection (as is SoCal). It was 46 degrees here yesterday, amazing for January. Gave us all hope for Spring.

Supposed to be a high near ZERO on SB Sunday.

Heard on local sports talk radio that SB tix prices are going down, way down:
  • Cold Weather City with a cold weather forecast
  • Most Patriot fans have been there done that already
  • Eagle Fans not traveling like other cities have

Yeah, I guess I shouldn't have said not 'one second' of coverage as I did happen to hear this.

I haven't even turned on any sports channels this week except for listening to the Wild getting blown out by the Penguins on Thursday. I was hoping they along with the Wolves would help me move on. At least the Wolves can win away from home and should finish high enough to host a home playoff series. The Wild can't win on the road and will be lucky to make the playoffs. Gopher Basketball and Hockey are also disappointing this season.

I'm struggling with the lack of preparedness this team displayed in Philly. I can't even Fathom how that is possible. It's inexplicable and will haunt this team for a while. It took this team some time to shake off the 2015 Playoff loss to the Seahawks with the blown chip shot field goal. I have concerns that there will be a hangover from the manner in which this season ended, especially if they move on from Case or he decides to sign elsewhere. I hope I'm wrong, but I think we could fall back to 500 team next season with a much tougher schedule. Zimmer will also need to go back to the drawing board when he is self scouting this offseason and figure out how to stop a spread passing attack. The Saints and Sean Payton created the blueprint in the second half of the Divisional game, and Peterson and Foles executed it to perfection. How we were not prepared to face that kind of attack is mind boggling.

I have taken up watching the Jordanian Women's Dodge Ball team since last Sunday's NFC Title game.
