So I was watching the highlight reel from the week 1 meeting. I know the teams have changed but the Saints have lost a ton more players then we have and their D has tailed off easily as much as our O has or maybe more. Bradford was lights out that game but there wasn't a throw in that bunch that Keenum can't make. If we can get over the playoffs gitters early I think we've got a great chance to get the W. Pretty much the entire D played the seachickens 2 years ago so they've been to the playoffs. A good chunk of the O was there for that game as well. I hate to sound confident because we've all been burned so damn many times we've lost count but I think we've got it.
Zimmer will have a different game plan for them on D.
Our secondary will limit Brees to 250ish yards.
Our players are rested theirs aren't
Peterson isn't here to fumble 5 times
Chilly isn't here to fuck up the time management
Say it with me we've got a chance!!!!

He can make the same throws, but not with the same velocity or accuracy. There is a striking difference.

Yet he somehow still managed to finish #2 in the league in total QBR.

As my brother said “we’ve got just enough offense to win it all”. Sounds good to me!

Amazing, isn't it? 2nd best QBR. Same as David Garrard in 2007, except Garrard's was 15 points higher.
I'm not saying that Keenum is going to go the way of Garrard, but surely you're not going to disagree with me when I say Case doesn't have Sam's arm or accuracy, are you?

Well I will give you that Bradford has the stronger arm, but I've always thought Case's arm is more than adequate. And Case obviously has mobility, poise, and movement in and out of the pocket that I haven't seen out of Bradford (and I like Bradford).
As far as accuracy, there are their first 5 seasons in the league, can you tell me who is who?
QB1 QB2
60.0% 54.2%
53.5% 58.4%
59.5% 60.8%
60.7% 60.9%
65.0% 67.6%

I don't think it really matters. I think stats are the most misleading thing you can introduce into a player comparison. It's almost irrelevant because it doesn't account for supporting cast, system, etc.
I'll just say this. If you can watch that video of week one and not see the striking difference in accuracy and velocity, then I can't help you.
Case had nearly as much velocity and his scrambling makes up for it and then some.
Heres a great question. Does a healthy Bradford lead us to a 13-3 season?
If i recall right hes never finished above 8-8. So Im going to say they dont. Keenum looks dang good to me at this point. Maybe he shits the bed but many QBs have done that before so....

No way to answer the first question. The only clue we have to answer it is in the highlight above, which is a much better indicator of what he might have done in this offense than whatever he did on the crap teams he was on before. So I suspect he would've done at least as good. But again, no way to know for sure.
Its possible that Case’s ability to scramble and pocket sense has extended drives where Sam wouldnt have.
Perhaps this line looks all the better because of Case’s mobility. If Case went down and Sam went in it would look like a very different game.
