Great read. And this guy is still making plays on the field.

"A person who is always talking when you are trying to tell them the answer to his question obviously is not really trying to learn,” Newman said. “It’s a scientific fact that you can’t learn when your mouth is open. You can definitely tell when a guy is really trying to get the information that he needs. [Brown] was a guy that really wanted to learn, so it was easy for me."

Great observations on his part. He has learned a lot from his experience and knows how to make the most value of his time. Not only does he take care of his body, he keeps his mind sharp. His teammates know who to go to in order to learn. I could totally see him coaching. That was an awesome read.

Easy $$ he's on Zimm's staff in another season or so...As a Vikings fan I hope so. Future kids could learn a lot from his experience too.

That was such a great read! I actually was absorbed with the content and imagined how great it must be to get to learn from this master of the game...I suspect there are conditions to getting such great info from him...just shut up and listen is 1st and foremost! These are the stories that matter, when all is said and done these write ups humanize our teams players and coaches. The only troubling part is I'm starting to go all in and that has never worked out well! My skin is hardened to the point of being granite...but I have kinks in my armor. T New is beyond a players player. He embodies everything I'd want this team to project. He deserves a RING!

Thought sure this would be T-new's last year, but now I'm not so sure. He's so valuable to this team. And I have yet to see any sort of decline in him.

Love the article and I agree,  I see no reason this year to think that Newman couldnt do it again next year,  especially at a position that is so demanding in Zims system.

Great article, thanks for posting.  I'm sure Terence can continue his NFL career in coaching, if he chooses.  This team has depth at the CB position like no other time in Viking history.  Terence is playing a huge role in developing the young talent, and not just at the CB position.  He's been so key for the Viking's "team first" culture and success.
