Vikings expect extra-raucous reception at Lambeau Field
#1
“From the years that I’ve been here, there hasn’t been this much hate, should I say, but it shouldn’t become anything as far as physical. I hope not,” said Diggs, in his third season. “I hope there’s still some class there. It’s really unfortunate what happened. Nobody wants that for anybody, but it was how many weeks ago? Hopefully, they move past it.”
Asked what he meant by “hate,” Diggs said it’s “more a hate between fans” than players.

McCarthy downplayed Barr’s hit on Wednesday. He said it “was definitely within the framework of playing aggressive.”
Several Packers players said this week they’ve put Barr’s hit behind them. Tackle David Bakhtiari did say Wednesday they will play aggressively against Barr.
“It’s just kind of an unspoken thing,” Bakhtiari said. “If you’re not going to treat our guy with respect …. I’m not saying we’re going to headhunt him, that’s not at all what I’m trying to say. But, I mean, we’ll definitely play to the whistle with a guy like that.”

“You can tell he’s watched Rodgers for some years and he’s got a lot of the same mannerisms and a lot of things,” Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said. “They’ve changed a little bit on some. There’s a few different runs here and there and a few different throws, but there’s really not a lot (changed).”
It’s the first time Minnesota (11-3) will face Green Bay without Rodgers starting since he was out with a broken collarbone on Nov. 24, 2013, and the teams tied 26-26 at Lambeau Field. Cornerback Xavier Rhodes, a rookie that season, said the Vikings can’t afford to overlook the Packers.
“We can’t take those guys lightly even though Aaron isn’t in,” Rhodes said. “We just have to take the mentality that we’re trying to get a ‘W’ as much as (Hundley) is trying to.”

I guess that means big Mike finally realized people in Clay houses shouldn't throw stones.

An unspoken thing that you're speaking about? His play is respected but he is still a douchebag. Get over it. Get over yourself. So in other words, you really are saying what you are supposedly not saying? Might as well shut up then.

I wouldn't doubt it gets chippy. Hopefully, no injuries for Minnesota.

I fully expect case to take more hits after the whistle.  A game plan full of quick throws and emphasising run with just enough deep throws early to keep them honest should help keep Case clean... but will Case help himself and get the ball out quickly is the next question?

I think the league will be watching this game close. I still fear those hits after the whistle though. Just enough to prove a point. It will be a hard hitting game on their part.

I hate to imply it, but with the Packers being eliminated from contention it also eliminates some worry about being suspended for their final game for an unnecessary, illegal hit...

I'm not worried about what Fat Khal Drogo says, he won't be able to get his tubby butt down the field fast enough to catch Barr. That and packer cheap shots hurt about as much as getting kicked in the shin by a toddler.  Clay will go for an inevitable cheap shot and get burned just like he did running his mouth against Cam.

The fans will be their utterly classless selves and the grounds crew will think they're shoveling snow except it'll be partially chewed sausage chunks iced to the stands that their fans stream constantly out of their whine-hole every play cuz they think the "league hate me".

Victory will be glorious, and I want the Vikes coming out hot, dominating them to the point where they can do nothing but cry salty, fatty tears into their Old Milwaukee.
