I think Minnesota, Seattle, New Orleans and Philadelphia all lose in Wk 14

Obviously, don't want a Viking's loss, but this is my prediction...no coincidence these are all road teams. Another big week of important NFL games, good stuff.

Carolina is very athletic on Defense. I think that will cause us match-up problems. Not sure how I'm betting this one yet. Point spread is Carolina + 3.0.  Bovada Total on this game is 41, I'd definitely bet the under.

def bet the under. Carolina will challenge our running game but outside of Captain, name a defensive back?  Ultimatley the Run O loosens up a couple big plays in the passing game. A couple is all that is needed.

Vikings 24
Panthers 13

Cam will get sacked 5+ times.  He will throw at least 1 interception.  He gets rattled and it's game over.   The Carolina Defense is susceptible to giving up big runs. They have given up 7 20+ yard runs and 2 40+ with a long of 72.   Plus it will be "chilly"  by Carolina standards

Cam Newton career vs. Mike Zimmer:

 0-2 record

39-for-70
456 yards
55.7% comp. pct

2 TDs/4 INTs

56.6 QB Rating
Sacked 12 times

I'm not sure I'm afraid of their defense. It looks okay on paper, but when you look at the yards they give up per attempt, it shows a different story. When they play decent teams, they falter. I dunno... the Vikings could lose, obviously, but there is nothing about this game that specifically scares me. They seems to be a feast or famine team, and their feasts come on weak opponents.

Every week there as many people on this forum predicting losses as there are wins. Maybe more. The loss predictors have been wrong an awful lot.  I'm a cockeyed optimist, and am pretty sure I will have my 11th correct pick of the season. This is a win, and not even a close one.

I was really more concerned about the Atlanta game than the Carolina game. Atlanta is much more balanced on offense and also has a good defense. Carolina has a good defense, but so do we. And I like our offense better than theirs.
Of course we could lose this game -- the second straight tough game on the road -- but I like our chances. This team is confident. So long as we do not turn the ball over (need to be careful with Kuechly), I think we'll be fine. Just hope it does not come down to the kicking game. That's our weakness.

My first time in a long time actually picking Minnesota to lose.

Keys to this game, keep Cam off the field as much as possible then rattle the hell out of him, and protect Keenum.

Or keep Cam on the field.....as long as its horizontal instead of vertical!!!!!  Sacks galore coming from the left side!!!
