...now are 6-5. The blueprint is out there to beat them. Crazy stuff, they looked REALLY good earlier this season.

the league is finding a way to stop Hunt, or at the very least Hunt is not being near as productive and that is hurting the KC O. and their defense is showing weaknesses. I watched a little bit yesterday and once again was happy that the Vikes went with Waynes. Peters had an easy pass to defense but instead gambled for the pick and whiffed leaving nothing but daylight for the receiver with only single high safety help. Yeah, very surprising. Now there's talk about benching Smith in favor of the rookie QB, Mahomes.
Obviously, starting 5-0 is the kiss of death for a football team. It's just too hard to overcome that fast start. Just ask the Vikings last year and KC this year.

I don't think teams have necessarily figured out how to stop Hunt... I think it's more on Andy Reid not using him enough early in the game. Against Buffalo, he had 5 or 6 touches at half time... really? That's insane to only give your workhorse RB a handful of touches in the first two quarters. It wasn't just this week either, it's been going on for weeks now.
It's like Andy Reid decided after their hot start that Alex Smith was capable of carrying the offense. As we've seen... he's not. They were winning because their running game was dynamic and explosive and it opened things up for Smith to hit big plays downfield to Kelce and Hill. I don't see things getting any better until they can figure out a way to get Hunt and the running game going again.

I haven't watched their games, but going back to Reid with the Eagles, I wonder if he gets in his own way. Many were lauding the genius of Reid early this year, maybe he reads the news clippings and starts to over think things. Dunno, he just seems like a fast start, poor finish type of coach so often.
I like our offense, Shurmur is continually evolving and keeping defenses off balance.

Their defense is struggling to get pressure on the opposing QBs, and are really missing Eric Berry on the defensive side as well. Consequently I think they nervous about being able to spot opposing offenses to much cushion and feel the need to push on O more than they were early. They tried running Hunt yesterday, but his output was not consistent enough to stick with and their passing game wasnt making up for the slow start of the running game. I chalk it up to a bunch of things, injuries, rookie wall, and likely some on Reid as well.
Their O-Line isn't as good as Minnesota's and has been banged up. Hunt isn't a guy who can run up the gut and consistently get positive gains. Hill is closer to Harvin than a traditional WR and once Conley went down for the year they really didn't have anyone else who could produce in that WR Corps.
The Defense is also aging just like the Hags.
Meanwhile, the Vikings have 7 or 8 Starting-caliber O-Linemen, RBs that perfectly compliment each other, so many WRs we complain about who should be performing better and a young, stacked Defense.
Much to be thankful for as a fan.
I think we can all feel for their fans. They might spend an offseason discussing whether the 5-0 start meant more than the 3-8 finish...
Hunt's numbers to date...maybe the "Rookie Wall" is real...
