Any Kyler Murray sightings in Minnesota today?
#1
Been awfully quiet.
He musta brought his laptop to have all those Zoom meetings last night and today with the three to five teams that might be looking for a QB in 2027, that was claimed by his agent.

What can Vikings free-agent visits of the past tell us about what  quarterback Kyler Murray might be doing during his visit to TCO Performance Center in Eagan on Thursday?

While touring the Vikings Museum on the team's 40-acre campus during his 2022 visit, former Packers and Vikings edge rusher Za'Darius Smith posted on social media, "Meet at the quarterback 2.0," upon learning more about Jim Marshall, Carl Eller, Alan Page and Gary Larsen, the "Purple People Eaters" with the original slogan.

The biggest signings can move sitdown meetings into dinners with family, coaches and teammates. Team brass wined and dined former Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins during his 2018 free-agent visit that led to his initial three-year contract in Minnesota. Reporters from multiple outlets, including two reporters in this live blog, staked out the Capital Grille in downtown Minneapolis where Cousins and his wife, Julie, had dinner with then-GM Rick Spielman, then-coach Mike Zimmer and future teammates Adam Thielen and Kyle Rudolph.

Past free-agent visitors have talked about touring the team's lauded workout facilities, locker room, and training and recovery rooms, which have helped Vikings executives seal deals with players who know what it's like elsewhere in the NFL. Each space received at least an A- grade by Vikings players in the latest NFLPA survey.

Every free agent, before signing a contract, undergoes a physical with the team's medical staff. They can also run through an on-field workout if desired.

The sides will obviously sit down and discuss lingering questions about their fit together. Contract negotiations can prolong visits, but Murray's reported offset language in his former Cardinals contract should make things pretty simple. Murray is owed more than $36 million guaranteed from Arizona, meaning he's motivated to sign for the league minimum to keep the Cardinals on the hook for as much as possible.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
