Vikings currently sit at +3000 to win the NFC and +5000 to win the Super Bowl. To that, Warren Sharp adds this...

Best Sleeper Bet to win the NFC: Minnesota Vikings (+3000)
The Vikings were arguably just a quarterback away in 2025. Their defense was third in yards per play allowed (4.7) and fourth in points per drive allowed (1.69) while getting pressure at the highest rate in the league (44.5%). There are more issues on offense outside of just J.J. McCarthy, but a veteran upgrade or just a step forward from McCarthy would put the Vikings in a great spot in 2026.

Just a QB away....

1). Too often the lament of Viking fans
2). So reminiscent of 2008/2009

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

We will be getting better QB1/QB2 play in 2026, for sure. Who that ends up being is debatable. I've said since the end of the playoffs: the NFCN is wide open. I just hope its a longer term option instead of a band-aid, one and done in the playoffs QB.

Oh and the latest is Tua! Can't make it up, lol...and JJ 'isn't working'.

Its over I tell ya! Wink

I think most teams can say they are a QB away if it is someone like Mahomes or Allen  Smile

Allen looked more like McCarthy his first couple of years.

Truth. But not in Year 1 or Year 2. But they had patience. Let's see if Minnesota is going to have patience with a talented kid like JJM.

I think there are probably morsels of truth in this reporting, but I think the conclusions are wrong. No team gives up on a QB after 10 starts, least of all the Vikings, who were not at all quiet about teams failing QBs more than QBs failing teams.
