Minnesota finished 2 games out of the NFCN lead....and should have beaten the divisional winner twice. Winning record. Win 5 straight to end the year. Playing and starting 3 different QBs. And 18 iterations of an offensive line group throughout the year because of injuries. Should be an interesting offseason, but no fan can say the Vikings don't have a shot at the division crown in 2026. This was one of the weirdest years I can remember for Minnesota. I still firmly believe in KOC and the staff to make next season a nice rebound year.
I'm taking a much needed break from social media, I'll see everyone down the road! We'll find out what's what come the beginning of September.

Was it really though? Included in the winning streak were two teams in tank mode who both finished with top 6 picks, and a Packers team trotting out the JV squad who didn't even want to be there. It would have been more shocking to not win those games

There is going to be no pleasing you lol!
I will contend till the cows come home that 5 wins in a row in the NFL is amazing.
You and I both know the margins are razor thin..
I'm not over the moon with this season by any means, but there are a few positives that we could take from it...

5 wins is a good thing. Vikings ended the playoff hopes of two teams who had to win to stay alive. They played the best defense in the NFL the last half of the season, virtually shutting down four teams whose offenses rank top 11.
Vikings finish with the 3rd-ranked defense overall. Pretty remarkable considering how poorly the defense played early on.

All things considered,it started to turn. Harrison Smith even said he wished they could keep it going because they were hitting their stride and it is something to build on. It was a roller coaster but some things were clicking. There are still questions to be answered though

Regardless of the record, this was a pretty unfulfilling season. I don’t think it really matters which NFCN team made the playoffs as I don’t really expect much from any of them when forced to play against the better teams, with the only exception being that almost all of the teams in the NFL kind of suck and have big question marks this year, so if there ever was a year for a chip and a chair, this one is it.
I think there’s going to have to be a lot of self-reflection going on here as the offense underperformed so dramatically, and I doubt anyone on the offensive staff feels comfortable with their job outside of KOC. Pretty much all our wins were on the back of our defense locking teams down.

100%
We won in spite of the offense and quarterbacking. Certainly wasn't due to a strong running game either.

The season feels like a huge disappointment in that after having the QB position in flux for so long, the thought coming into this season was that it was going to be settled for the next 10 years. There was a lot of promise and excitement, but also a tinge of concern that as typical with the Vikings we may have picked the one wrong choice out of the 3 options. I didn't expect what we saw this year, the inability to stay on the field, the poor mechanics that never improved and then the attitude of openly defying his coach. It's not just the what may have been had we stuck with Darnold, but now what? Who is going to be the QB of the future for this team. This off season will have more questions around the position than last year. I don't see them looking for a backup or a mentor, that was the plan last year, this year after what we saw, I think they are going to be looking for someone who can compete to be the guy, which there are not going to be any ideal options, so likely going into next year with more uncertainty around the future of the position and the team.
