Really? That is a bit shocking. Guess it was a weak week for offense in the NFC.

It actually was for the whole NFL, check out the QB yardage thrown be each QB. Burrow had 113 yards. RBs were kept in check. No bangers at WRer because the QBs mostly threw for very pedestrian amounts of yardage. So JJ is really as likely as anyone else, he just did things more dramatically.

I'm shocked to be honest. Seems a little like a participation trophy...especially given his pick 6

That's what I was thinking. Very surprising. But Bucs, Bengals, Eagles, Chiefs...none of the typically good offenses with good QBs played particularly well. I think JJ's only real competition was maybe Jordan Love? But Love only had two TDs to JJ's three, nor did he bring his team back from the dead. Josh Allen threw for a shit-ton of yards (394), but only two TDs.

Josh Allen had a pretty good game for the AFC.  Guess I don't know who else would have been a better pick in the NFC.  I don't follow stats too much since I quit doing fantasy long ago.

It's important to point out it's the "NFC" offensive player of the week. 3 TDs in his NFL debut, comeback victory. Deserved it IMO. Look around the NFC... Love was sub-200 yards with 2 TDs, same for Hurts, Daniels had a solid week... CMC had a lot of touches but no TDs, Bijan didn't do much on the ground but had 100 receiving yards and a TD.

It's probably partially that the NFC didn't have any other "stand out statistical" performances and mostly the dramatic fashion of his comeback win.
