We need you back here on the board for football, man! Its going to be a fun year. Don't let politics drag you down, sir. Just shoot your bullets and let it roll off your back. You need to be around to see how obnoxious I get when JJM pans out.

Texted him, but not sure it's gonna do any good.

He's got to learn to just let it roll. I understand getting mad, but staying mad isn't worth it. Nor will it change anything. I cut loose with the best of them on a good political rant, but then the next day its behind me. He's a good fan that loves the team, that's what we need on the board.

I was wondering where he went.  I musta missed the fireworks.

Politics and religion are two subjects that can ruin any otherwise good time.

Speaking of fireworks: if you don't like them because they scare your dog, you hate America! Wink

Yeah its better left unsaid those two things on a football board. Ive been saying that for decades on this board and its previous manifestations.

Maybe we can get JIT back with treats. Does he like Kit Kats?

I've been wondering too. Dude shows up pumps his post count like nobody's business and then dips. Bummer. He had some really good takes I thought.

This offends me. Why are we pimping the Detroit team?

Politics and personal lives shouldn’t be a part of the football forum.  If people would talk just to football and not to personal or political topics, there wouldn’t be a problem.  But some want to have their cake and eat it too. I think the sensitive topics area is a much better fit for personal topics.

Dude, you need to just step off.  If you can't handle the personal side of a forum, then just stay quiet.  Personal topics have always been a part of this board.  It builds the community and comradery.

While I agree that there is a place for sensitive topics here...very few people ever go to that page, so you don't get much feedback and you're basically talking to a mirror.
It's interesting how we can debate all things Vikings and have major disagreements or spats on anything from JJM to renewing Kwesi's contract or how he sucked at the 2023 draft...and it's like, "cool, let's have a beer now".

But as soon as we get to politics and religion, the rules are very, very different.
