OT: And you wonder why some people want to kill CEOs....
#1
....of Healthcare companies. The worst, most disgusting of them all is UnitedHealth. And their stock is tanking. Fraud investigation underway and:

"UnitedHealth’s stock has plunged about 36% since February, losing more than $170 billion in market value and notching a spot as the worst performer in the S&P 500 Index during that period. The tumble came as the company cut — then suspended — its annual forecast, replaced its chief executive officer and is now reportedly facing a criminal investigation for possible Medicare fraud.

"More bad news continues to pile up for UnitedHealth. The Guardian reported Wednesday that the insurer secretly paid nursing homes bonuses to cut hospital transfers for sick residents, as part of a series of cost-cutting tactics. Prior to that, HSBC cut the stock to a sell-equivalent rating, becoming the second analyst tracked by Bloomberg to do so. UnitedHealth shares tumbled as much as 6.7% on Wednesday (today)"

UHC is a disgusting piece of shit company. They deserve absolutely everything they get.

You had a CEO who signed off on all this and then get a pikachu face when someone wronged by them fights back.

I hope they are equally as diligent at finding and punishing the folks who made this happen as they were to my my Luigi

I hear you, but I don't care. These healthcare companies are killing people with their frugality, cost cutting and other margin enhancers. And they know its killing people.

I won't shed any tears if a few more go down. JMO.

The word "care" is certainly being marginalized by the health industry these days...

But does anything justify murder? Does murder justify murder/revenge?

In a pure biblical sense, I would argue it doesn't.

But I'm not trying to change yours or anyone else's mind on this one.

Just My Own Opinion.

Let me first say i respect your opinion.

So this isnt an eye for an eye, its a revolution against genocide of the middle class and poor. Its isn't one man vs another man, its the head of the snake vs. countless multitudes that will die as a direct and contrived result of healthcare company providing shareholders value at the cost of everything, as corporations will do. And as you see, their own gluttony and the high profile aspect of the CEO's death has resulted in the loss of billions of dollars in market value. Its the only painpoint they have. You cannot survive without being a part of the healthcare system in the United States....which is FOR PROFIT. If you have money, its not a big deal. If you don't, I think you might have a different viewpoint. Its not a product, its the difference between life and death.

And the bible is a very contradictory read, full of carnage, fire and brimstone. I think they definitely could have related to what's happening.

Their business model is an interesting one.
Deny all claims to start.
Then dig in for a fight on the ones they do have to pay.
No wonder their shareholder returns were so good.

I dont condone or call for action against those people.... but I certainly understand when an affected person reacts violently.  I would definitely accept temporary insanity as a reason if anybody was to take action after a few months of having to deal with these fucking companies.

The French had a solution for this a couple 100 years ago. The economic similarities are quite striking. I don’t condone violence but maybe send a couple CEOs feet first into a wood chipper on PPV. Might get folks to rethink their priorities.

And just for perspective, this past February I finished paying off my hospital stay for my first heart attack. Which was in 2018.
