Bryce Underwood is going to be a monster
#1
He was a five-star QB recruit, and the consensus No. 1 overall ranked high school football player in the nation in the 2025 college football recruiting class. Only reason Michigan was able to secure a talent like this was because of NIL money (Dave Portnoy). Rave reviews already about him from Ann Arbor. He'll be an interesting watch the next few years. 6'4", 210 lbs. at 17 years old and athleticism off the chart. Big arm. Fits the mold of a modern NFL QB.

I am excited to watch him. Teh Portnoy comment made me laugh, it's true, but I laughed. I like Dave. Was that rumor true that Portnoy had a lot to do with getting Underwood to Ann Arbor?

100%. His net worth exceeds $150 million, I believe. He sold a big stake in BarStools Sports and then rebought that stake back for pennies on the dollar. He's an alum of the University of Michigan. He paid personally a big chunk of the rumored $11 or $12 million the Michigan collective gave Underwood.

I am glad he did. Underwood should be a great one. It's fun when Michigan is good. I am over OSU. Have been. That is a big time donation to give your Alma mater for a chance to land a QB like that.

Good for Portnoy. Keep living that life. Love to see it. I am just sitting here contemplating working overtime to make ends meet... It's rough when I have a decision to make on whether I want to get rid of my 18 BMW X5 M for a brand new 25 or switch to a 25 Range Rover Sport Dynamic. Pass me the Cheetos and Vodka.

The X5 m60i is a better everyday driver lol!

Not to go too far down the rabbit hole...

I sold BMW's for 7 years and boy that was eye opening.

There's a lot of people out there who can write $90k checks for a vehicle and not blink about it.

Not to go too far down on what I do for a living, but I understand what you mean. It is crazy. I have an everyday driver, I don't drive my BMW but a couple times a week and not at all in the winter. I also have a Rav4 that I drive daily. Sometimes you will see me driving my BMW every day in the summer lol.

I spent 3 years looking for my summer (non daily) ride and it fell in my lap one day.

A 2000 Z3m Convertible, 5 speed with 29k miles on it.

Seriously owned by a little olde lady locally who's husband passed. She drove it into the shop one day and wanted to sell to the dealer. I bought it on the spot lol!

Still in storage for winter, a wonderful right of spring for me to pull that out of the garage for the first time each year.

Sorry, Sticky. Didn't meant to hijack the thread lol.

That is a hell of a find. Good for you! I took mine out last week for the first time. Then right back in she went lol.

Why wait? If tariffs hit you’re going to be paying considerably more. Not sure I understand the logic of waiting.

When you do pull the trigger be sure to post photos!

Underwood looks like Cam Newton. It's wild in college football when a celebrity booster can just pay a kid millions of dollars to go their favorite college. What's next? Will Ferrell going to drop 15 million for the next great edge rusher to go to USC? Just imagine talking about this kind of stuff 20 years ago. It would be unheard of. I'm not against college athletes being paid, but there is zero rules or regulations attached to any of it and it's literally the wild west.
