Take This With A Bag Of Salt

I mean, we’re all wondering why he’s not signed yet. Maybe parameters are set?

It makes sense in terms of the timing in which that is right at the date where it would not hurt us for a comp pick. Also Samuel is from and lives there.

I think we are done signing until comp picks won't be affected. Would be a good thing for us if this is true.

Yes it would. Vikings still sitting at 21.6 million under the cap. Samuel is a guy I mentioned early in evaluating free agency that I thought would be a good signing for us. I'm surprised he hasn't signed yet, especially when I see some of the turds around the league signing big money contracts and Samuel is only 25 and has played well in his young career. He was put on season ending IR with a shoulder injury after week 4 last year and it makes me kind of wonder what the medical is on that shoulder?

Only thing I fear is that he has some nerve damage. Last I read is that he has had stinger symptoms with the worst being in his left shoulder.

It has to be something like that otherwise it's unexplainable how he hasn't been signed yet. This is from an article in January;

"According to ESPN’s Kris Rhim, Samuel said he’s fighting a shoulder injury that got worse via contact in practice. He also suggested that it’s a lifelong issue and suggested he would like to be back with the team in 2025."

I'd be concerned about that shoulder injury, IMO its an easy one to reinjure. Talented player. Would certainly change the CB room dramatically for the better.
