I've heard the term 'championship caliber' thrown around. Thoughts?

I think we've bridged the gap mightily. I'd say we're closer to that undoubtedly, but not sure if its Superbowl level. Lots of factors of course in play: health, cohesion, QB play, etc. Its only March. I'm asking what you think RIGHT NOW.

NFL.com had us ranked #7 behind Philly, KC, Baltimore, Buffalo, Detroit and Washington. Just ahead of GB. I think that's fair given the unproven QB. IF JJ strings together a Daniels type of year than absolutely we're a Championship caliber team with a few holes to fill in the draft..which is good because we only have 4 draft picks.

		QB-unknown
RB- worse RB rooms have SB rings
WR- yup
OL- on paper
iDL- on paper
Edges-yup
iLB- Cashman for sure Pace is a step below championship caliber
CB- nope but will benefit enough from a pass rush that is easily top 5
S- see CB

ST- nope but kicking isn’t the issue

Kwesi has a very good roster in place without seeing the rest of FA and the draft as well as post June 1 cuts.

Now, if JJ puts together a year like Jayden Daniels were playing late into January. Barring injuries.

		It's a good question.

I think the roster has improved a lot on paper.

Are we SB contenders? I dont think so yet...We got that big olde QB question mark that needs to play out.

I dont think its fair to expect a Daniels year from him year 1, thats just blue moon stuff.

Yes, it's a Super Bowl level roster. But there are about 10 such rosters in the NFL. And there's a LONG road between putting together a Super Bowl level roster and actually getting there. The Eagles were far from a Super Bowl team in September. Now it's up to health, luck, development (Turner), a solid draft and JJ McCarthy being everything KOC says he is.

I was surprised how far we trailed off w/out Cashman in there last season...he is the STRAW THAT STIRS that D. I am not a huge fan of Pace, great value get though.

I wonder if he was dinged a lot of the year?

I can see LB on the radar in 26...Bigger needs today for sure.

MB can attest to my affinity for Pace. Cashman was an integral part of the D for sure. Different unit without him. I’ve seen a couple mocks grabbing a LB this year.

Pace is a beast when he blitzes and is a big reason why our run defense is so good.  He just isn't good in coverage.  It's why we missed Cashman so much.

Super bowl rosters never great players at every position. When the Rams won it they had crap linebackers. A few years ago the Chiefs and 49ers played in a Super Bowl with two of the worst offensive lines in football. I will say, though, that Eagles team last year was about the most talented roster the Super Bowl has seen in a while. They got real lucky last April when the rest of the NFL seemed to part the seas and allow them to walk up and take two of the best DBs in the draft. They lost some key players, but that's still going to be a hard team to keep up with.
