Dianna Russini

The Rams are set to meet with Matthew Stafford at their facility in person today regarding his future, per sources.

The Raiders and Giants have discussed a two-year contract for Stafford that includes $90-100M guaranteed.

A decision is expected soon.

One reason Raiders are pushing for Stafford is they’re lukewarm on Sam Darnold, the other free agents and top of draft class.
Stafford and his wife may prefer Las Vegas over NY. twitter.com/jourdanrodrigu…

How do we have dollar figures on a player for a different team?

Its Silly Season, so much of these inside stories are horseshit, but Russini is pretty dialed in. Not saying she isn't full of shit but she's been better at true inside info than Jay Glazer the last year or so.

I have to believe there is potential for embarrassment for any team acquiring Sam Darnold. Especially for that team's OC. Gonna be hard to repeat what he did in Minnesota on a team without KOC, JJ, etc. I dated a girl once whose last boyfriend was a professional athlete 20 years younger than me. Same sorta thing.

Sadly, that's what she said.

He was given permission to seek a trade, so I’m guessing compensation came up.

I'm curious how that all works.  If the team gives a thumbs up, does tampering stop existing.  Is only the agent really involved?

Stafford could play in Vegas, fill the stadium and not have to move the family from LA either. NY cant compete geographically.

Shedeur to LV seems like a perfect fit, but I think the Giants draft him or Ward, whoever falls to #3. LV will not have a shot at one of the top 2 QB's unless they pay dearly to move up.

They won too much in 24.

I just don't see how the Rams would want to trade Stafford, I think a new contract definitely gets done and he stays.
