Prediction for tonight's Vikings-Rams game
#1
I'm without a doubt the worst individual game predictor on the board....uncannily bad actually. Consistently. Feeling mostly unconfident about Minnesota's chances tonight but that's mostly due to the egg laying by the offense last week in Detroit. Hoping for the best:

Los Angeles 31, Minnesota 20.

My predictions are typically decent, but not perfect. That said, I think the loss to Detroit plus the earlier loss to the Rams should have the team pretty rabid to prove that this isn't the "22 crew" all over again.

Sam shakes off last week, JJ gets fed, and Flores brings a plan to make potential HC-hungry teams take notice.

Vikings 30, Rams 17.
Wait, we failed to protect our QB in big games, again?

MAYBE THERE'S A LESSON HERE.

I'll take the Vikings but I think it'll be a sweat. I'm hoping KO cements his status in that McVay-tier of coaches with a solid plan tonight and a victory.

I expect both QBs to play well. I think our run game will struggle and that Nakua will go crazy.

I also expect KO to be very aggressive on 4th downs again, a symptom of this being the playoffs and whatever is going on with Reichard. But by hook or by crook I think we survive.

I'm not super confident in this one. Kind of a bad feeling that Stafford will be just as hot as he was in the last matchup and that Sam won't bounce back enough from his worst performance of the year. That said, I had a bad feeling about the Packer game and a good one about the Detroit game. I was wrong on both, so....Vikings 40-30.

One thing that gives me some confidence is the first half of the previous game. Darnold and the Vikings offense were hot, open receivers everywhere and Sam was laser sharp. They moved the ball almost at will. Just one 3rd down on their first two drives.

Another thing is Flores saying that Puka, who was a game time decision last game, caught them by surprise. Vikings should be better prepared for him this time around.

Yah, Im not confident about tonight...

Still dont like this match-up.

They're all tough now. After today, its trying to get through Lions/Eagles.

If you make it that far.

I don’t feel great about this matchup. I guess you look at their last several games, and you don’t really see a juggernaut offense or anything, but in my mind, all I see is McVay an offensive guru cutting up our defense, while they hold our receivers all day and don’t get called for it, and while we didn’t adapt.

I’m probably just traumatized from last week, but I think our offense just isn’t dominant enough to exert it’s will on the other team enough to win a shootout with a good offense.

I’m also preparing myself for the Rams being given this game by the refs because they have a natural disaster to deal with. I don’t think it’s a perfect story, because LA famously doesn’t care about it’s sports teams, and I don’t think the Rams winning a SB is really in the cards, but if it happens I won’t be surprised.

I'm with most of you about not being a good match up for the Vikes. Rams Beat the Chargers, 49ers x2, Bills and the Vikings. They held 6 teams to 15 points or less. IMO this is why the game does not favor the Vikes. Vikes defence relies on pressue and confusion, Rams are good at quick passes and timing routes. Our offence (And Sam) have slower developing plays and our interior line struggles to hold up. Vikings will need a well coached game to come out on top.

Win by one point or win by a hundred points...just win.

I'd actually like our chances more in Philly or Detroit, honestly. The neutral site helps, but the Rams are just one of those teams you hate to face in the playoffs. The sneaky-good kind of team who has a lot of talent but injuries kept their win-count down and so people overlook them a little bit, providing a nice little chip for their shoulder. And Dan Campbell's comment about seeing the Vikings in two weeks feeds right into that.

The Earths magnetic poles must have realigned. All the doubters are back again.
Tough matchup.
27-24 Vikings.
