Rating the Rookie (& sophomore) QBs
#1
I was surprised at how mediocre the rookie QB group looked yesterday.

I was expecting really good NFL-ready stuff from Bo Nix.  Not so much.
Caleb Williams...love the fact that he pooped all over the Chicago (and NFL media's) predictions...particularly in our division.
Same game...sophomore Will Levis did not light it up)
Patriots Drake Maye did not play a snap.
Sophomore's CJ Stroud outdueled Richardson...both are going to have good careers.
Sophomore Bryce Young...what you see behind center for the Panthers is what you get.  He's not in the cocoon of the Nick Saban system and it shows.
Jayden Daniels probably had the best rookie game (for Washington) of all the rookies who played

Nix's arm is going to be an issue at times....along with his propensity to throw short and underneath. His passes attempted to yardage gained is gruesomely low.

That was discussed about him coming out too...

Bree's was dinged for similar early in career, but he got stronger and turned out ok.

We'll have to wait and see if Nix can do the same.

Gotta love that ridiculous pick six that “Mayonnaise” flipped to hand the Bears a win! Now that was ugly…!!!   Cool

Bo Nix averaged 3.3 yards per attempt on 42 passes today.

That is tied for the 6th-lowest YPA in any game with at least 40 pass attempts since the merger

Mediocre? I think you're being nice. I watched Daniels and Nix. Daniels had a good fantasy day because he ran a lot (the Flamin' Groovies give thanks), but he just wasn't very sharp throwing the ball. Nix was horrible and Caleb was even worse.
