I think JJM was their 2nd choice after Maye.
Yah, I suspect Rams were thinking value for Bowers or Turner too...Was there a stud WR left at that point?
Sure sounded like KOC told him they were sticking and picking.

For sure. Maye, then 1A McCarthy. But not far behind JJM was Penix for them.

Yah,
I think if JJM went 8 to ATL, they would have grabbed Penix at 10 or 11. Maybe it was a great cover-up, but I never heard even a whisper of them having interest in Nix

If the NFL Network or ESPN could capture and broadcast this kind of behind the scenes deal making live while the draft was taking place, the NFL Draft would be can't miss TV for NFL fans.

Honestly, it already is. 12 million people watched the first round this year and 775,000 fans attended it live for 3 days in Detroit. This isn't a live game, a playoff game....its a Draft, lol. Crazy.
Broadcasting it live would compromise NFL Draft rooms, teams would never allow behind the scenes stuff in real time.

The way McVay says "their guy" sure makes it seems like he knows that who is who we really wanted and not because he fell to that spot. Unless the Rams were going to take Turner, it could have really worked to our advantage if they did move up to 10 and would have saved us the picks we gave up.

I suspect their target was Bowers. But there was a lot of buzz late that the Rams could also take a QB. That they were talking to the Jets was enough to convince the Vikings to not take any chance and trade up one.

The only story line I care about at this point is that the Vikings were able to get their 1a QB choice and still keep their second #1 for Turner.
