Hey, just wanted to let you know my stupid, childish temper tantrums are over now. I've come to terms with the Vikings QB situation, and probably missing the playoffs the next couple of seasons while the team searches for their new offensive leader. I just was shocked they'd let a proven QB leave when they had nothing to replace him with. I guess being fiscally responsible is goal #1 for KAM, and he's cleaning house now. It's really stupid a grown man should even give a shit; especially when you have no control over it.
I'm HappyViking, and yes, I'm here only because I'm a Viking addict - like all of you sick Longshippers. :pAnyway, I'll go back facing the corner of the room until I'm released - SKOL!
Cousins had one win in our first five games last season and barely beating the Panthers. And he had the best wr in the league. He is not the superstar many make him out to be.
No apologies necessary! Keep coming with those opinions, man! You can feel however you want to feel. Nothing stupid or childish about it.
We're fans, we're emotional and mostly we're really really tired of the disappointment. What's stupid is a grown man (me) having as many posts as I do on this board. I've been working remotely for over 23 years, so they come in spurts if I'm not traveling for business.
No worries. Feel whatever you feel and let it go. Vikings fans have all kinds of feelings about this and the way they are going about moving forward. There really was a lot of money mess to sort through in order to get to next steps. There was security and stability with Cousins and with that gone, things are being shaken up. It is a lot to come to grips with but it is what it is.
Cousins was not THE ONE, but now we have some fugly choices compared to him.
Kwesi needs to get this right as we all know neither Darnold nor Mullens is going to get us to the promised land.
They put a lot of focus into the front 7 on D. This is a good start. Build the trenches and hit on a QB, its how great teams are made.
Finally, Kwesi better start hitting on his draft capital, Cine, Asamoah and Booth is looking like a failure.

The bridge from where we were to where we need to go didn't exist a few days ago. We're starting construction of it now. Whether the architect has the right designs is the real question here. I don't doubt any of the moves so far in free agency. Even Darnold seems like the perfect guy for this situation. He's showing signs of the light going on in San Fran and with some weapons to help him, and he's going to have some expertise to build from in that QB room.
That is what this board is for, most of all have been fans since we can remember so there is a strong emotional bond to the team and we have an attachment to how the team operates. I was trying to explain it to a friend who has never been into sports that when I turn a Viking game on, it is not just about that game, but all those Sundays of coming home from church, my mom putting on a pot of sauce and watching the games with my dad and brothers, wearing that #10 jersey out until it had holes in it and having to get jersey #44 every time I was on a team. I definitely get upset with myself when I get overly attached and let my emotions get the best of me, but that comes with the territory of having such a rich history.
I feel like I'm the only one that thinks the OP is dripping with sarcasm.

That's because you are cynical.

No sarcasm. Looking at some of my rants just made me feel foolish is all. It's funny how you can put different voices to the same words and it will change the entire meaning.
