He’s also getting a little more than the 20-25 mil/year that some here were predicting. I also suppose, according to some, the Bucs should also take a QB high in the draft to secure their future.

What choice did the Bucs have other than sign Baker? They pick 26, so the only team that would give their first pick up for a ham sandwich is at 11 and that won't get them a franchise QB. They most likely won't get R. Wilson and Cousins will want much more than they gave Baker. What other FA is better than Baker? Not too many. That was the least expensive path to getting a playoff caliber QB without rolling the dice.
