Lamar not making a great case for mobile QBs

No question he’s an electric player and a highlight reel, but give me a QB who can make throws when it counts. The best throwers and decision makers will forever and always be the better QBs.

Yeah there is that. The defense imploded as well taking stupid penalties and Zay Flowers made some boneheaded plays

Totally agree, with the exception of when they play the Vikings.

Kirk is one of the best there is,  just can't extend plays and that kills drives.  We don't need a running QB,   but the pocket statue QB that can't make defenses pay with his legs is a dinosaur in a league with Dlinemen and LBs that run like players half their size.

This is one of the reasons I have soured a bit on Penix,  he needed to use his legs more in the championship game to extend plays and he just didn't do it enough.  Its part of the game now and with all the protections given the QBs,  you have  to be able to take advantage to compete at the highest level consistently.

Penix was injured in that game but his injury history is concerning

I watched about every snap he took this season,  he is not much for using his legs unless its a designed play. I didn't really see him do much all year with his legs,  and there were opportunities,   but with his WR group and the Washington running game, he really didn't need to do much until that last game.

KC's defense is arguably the best in the league right now.  Baltimore's pass-heavy game plan didn't make a lot of sense imho and they just looked confused on offense.  Lamar is my favorite player to watch because he can make amazing stuff happen but in this type of game against that tough of an opponent you need a solid offensive plan and they didn't have one.

I just thought it was dumb how predictable the Ravens were. Their game plan sucked

Raven's gameplan was fine, they shot themselves in the foot constantly. I mean, how many 3 and outs could the Chiefs give them in the 2nd half? Zay Flowers is a piece of work. The Chiefs got in their heads....the Ravens D was so crazy chippy. Harbaugh must have wanted to kill them.

Lamar and his 75.5 passer rating did not make a case for anything
But Mahomes sure makes a case for a mobile Qb
