If Cousins moves on....

Where does he go? Atlanta, Pittsburgh, New England. Thoughts?

ATL will likely draft another QB.  Ridder was only a 3rd rounder, they might be our competition for JJ/Penix/Nix/ or a Daniels trade-up.

No to NE because Kirk's never been on a last-place team and he's not about to do it at age 36.

Pittsburgh would make a ton of sense but would they spend the dough?

Hes got to be looking at a list of things.
Money
Protection ( strong OL and running game )
Potential weapons around him
A contender

Denver and Seattle need to be part of the discussion.

I don't think Denver. Russ is going to take up too much off their cap in 2024 & 2025 for them to sign Kirko. It's going to be a rookie for them.

Unless the market for Kirk is pretty dry and we can get him back on the cheap then I want a new slate at QB.  First round rookie (Daniels/Nix/Penix/McCarthy), cheap veteran fill-in (maybe Cousins but doubtful) until rookie gets up to speed (could be 1 game, 6 games or a full year) and Hall.  We need to aggressively go after the QB we want in the draft.  Do your due diligence and have the conviction (like Mahomes & Allen) and "possibly" reap the rewards for a decade plus.  If it is a swing and a miss so-be-it, you can't hit if you don't swing!

At a discounted price and if 49ers get bounced early, then I think San Fran would be in play

He'd be in demand. Definitely Atlanta, possibly Carolina, NE, Denver is waaaay too broke, Steelers...maybe...hmmm.

Atlanta would have to be the favorite, but there'd be options. That said, most likely he returns for one more contract and both has a chance to "peak" with JJ and Addison as well as mentor his successor.

Williams, Maye and Daniels are going 1, 2, 3.
