We have a pile of hot garbage without Cousins. No more 'Dobbs can be the guy' horseshit. So Kirk and his agent can decide how they want to approach resigning with Minnesota, because the situation keeps getting better and better for them. I firmly believe that the Vikings definitely will NOT go for any contract longer than 2 years, but Kirk is going to have to be reasonable. Clean house on all the current QBs on the roster (keep Hall) and draft the QBOTF.
p.s. still irritated on the Dobbs throw that exposed JJ to that ferocious hit and injury. NO WAY Cousins would have laid him out like that.
I agree on the Dobbs throw,, but Cousins has put his receivers in bad positions plenty of times, including early in this season.
Games like yesterday really REALLY make you appreciate what we have in Cousins.
Anyone notice yesterday that the pass blocking and play calling seemed to get better when Mullens took over? It didn't. It just seemed that way, because Mullens ran the offense the way it was supposed to be run. He wasn't perfect, but he was a nice midpoint between the MVP-like play from Cousins and the WTF-like play from Dobbs.

Mullens should be better with a week of prep. Mullens vs. Browning next Saturday in Cincy. And yes, the play calling always looks better when you don't have complete incompetence (Dobbs) at QB.

I think it is a mistake not to start Hall going forward. I don't care about the playoffs at this point as any game in the playoffs will be a serious beat down -- for me, it is all about player development at this point.

Certainly a thought, but with the Vikings currently at the #6 seed in the playoffs, the team and staff want a chance. That's why they play the games. Finally they've realized Dobbs is not that 'chance', so its going to be Mullens I believe. Fans have the luxury of caring about 'player development' but I think the players put their blood, sweat and tears into each game and their goal is the playoffs. Strangely enough, if they win their remaining 4 games, they win the NFCN. How do you power down to 'player development' right now?

The fans want Hall but Mulens is the best shot to win now, which is why he’ll start.
I was down for giving Dobbs the start yesterday and agreed with the coaches on that. Boy, he sure rewarded that vote of condisence, huh? Holy cow dude stunk out the joint. You know it’s bad when NICK MULLENS coming in feels like Dan Marino just ran outta the tunnel and into the huddle.
Dobbs- you’re a good dude and thank you for the memories but yeah, it’s over.
Regarding Kirk and 2024 I still don’t know what to think. For some reason I’m not hearing much talk about the fact he blew out his Achilles. He might miss half or even all of next season! We just don’t know and we probably won’t know when free agency starts. So do you guarantee Kirk a ton of money and blindly pray he heals up fast? A Jimmy G deal where you wait to pay him when he passes a physical? Or do you move on?
Kirk’s leg will decide if he’s back here or not. Not Dobbs or Mullens or Hall playing poorly.
If I had to guess this morning, I will say Kirk is not back.
Dobbs was bad and needed yanked a lot sooner.
But some of yesterday’s problems was 3 starters was missing off the offensive line.
Even Maddison who was having a good game left with an injury.
The other problem was the play caller.

Maddison left with an ankle injury. That can happen anytime it feels like happening. Mullen's didn't get better protection. He got rid of the ball faster.
Sign Kirko period. 2-3 years. $30-40M per. I bet he's more open to incentives vs guaranteed money. IF we can keep Flores...massive IF. This team can win the Superbowl next year.
