Cook not happy in New York
#1
I don't blame him. Thought he'd be getting more carries and playing with Aaron Rodgers.

Short of Breece not being healthy Cook was never going to get a ton of carries to begin with. Was and odd place for him to sign from the start.

He is also one of the worst rated Running Backs in the league for Efficiency which takes the offensive line out of the evaluation. Mattison is about 8 spots ahead of Cook, but we don't have any RB's even in the top 20 which is why are running game is dysfunctional. We have a highly rated offensive line for run blocking. It's not because of them. Our RB room is just plain shitty.

Hard to believe not one rushing touchdown through 7 games.

He ought to be glad he's getting paid.  Dude went into decline fast.

I dont think he had a lot of options,  especially for the kind of money he was after.  IIRC he was pretty late to sign wasnt he?

I always liked Cook and what he brought to the run game. He got a paycheck. Now he'll be one year older and, unless traded, won't be seeing much action. He'll be 29 years old before the start of next season, right when RBs skills start to fall off the table.

I see rumors that Derrick Henry can be had in a trade, he's 29 years old now and will be 30 in January. He's taken lots of hits. He's exactly the kind of back that will be fine one year and noticeably different the next.

I guess my point was, of the places he visited the Jets made the absolute least amount of sense if he cared about playing time. He didn't get anywhere near the contract he was looking for and from everything I read the Jets offer in no way blew away his other offers.

So if it was for money great, you "got paid", but you can't really be upset about PT, you got what you wanted. If he signed with the Jets thinking he was going to remain a featured player, either his or his agents intelligence need to be questioned.
