Still interested in seeing how the season progresses....

Always a little hope things could turnaround. My logical mind knows that is not going to be the case. San Fran is the kind of team to pound any optimism out of a fan, but that's why they play the games I guess. Very unfortunate that the team has had so many turnovers and dropped passes. Frustrating. Certainly a difference maker in several games. I like a win as much as the next fan, but the Bears win left me pretty dry as they just didn't look like a good team. I see some cracks in the Kirk Cousins armor this season.

I see some fans seemed to have been waiting to pounce on the reversal of fortunes this season to last. No worries, I get being a long time fan that is beyond frustrated. But at the same time, JMO, its not necessary to jump into every thread that has a smidge of optimism or pointing out some positives and shit all over it. I'm not talking anything Pollyanna, but more just kind of regular stuff like the O-line seeming to grade out better than last, all the turnovers/dropped passes as reasons for losses, and basically KAM breathing the air as a reason to go scorched earth. Just my two cents.

Again, JMO. Carry on.

At their best, the 49ers are probably the best team in the NFL. But this is not the '75 Steelers or the '07 Patriots.  Cleveland found that the best way to beat Brock Purdy was to play man, holding him to 125 yards and a passer rating in the 50s. Vikings don't have the Browns defense, but they can, and likely will, play a lot of man given their blitz rate.

The odds are low the Vikings can pull this one out, especially without JJ. But this game is not unwinnable.

There are some on this board that make Eeyore look like Mr. Rogers.

Its the outright glee of some that have me scratching my head. To each their own I guess.

I am a casual fan at this point/this year...Not how I came into 23 - but is what it is.

I'm fair weather, I totally admit to that.

Having Rogers still playing with the Jets would have made the season more interesting for me...Not that I would be rooting for him, but we would have seen some potentially epic games (i.e. Chiefs/Jets etc.)

I dont think it is glee,  as much as it is hope that with the shit results we can maybe see the changes necessary to turn this ship around.  Sadly it appears like its going to take a 3-4 win season to get it though the ownerships head that this "competitive rebuild" was about the dumbest notion at that time,  and continuing down this same stupid ass path is neither competitive or rebuilding to something that will compete with the elite organizations in the league.  I dont want to lose,  but we have been doing that anyway,  but lets at least look at the roster and realize its not getting better,  we have shit for starters at many positions and no depth at almost all positions,  this roster is worse than what KAM took over,  and despite pulling horseshoes out their ass last year for many lucky wins... they are not built to be truly competitive.

I don't see an upward trend on or off the field--neither KAM nor KOC are showing me they are going to build a great future for us fans.   They both look shaky at best in their respective jobs.

There's no buzz with this team doing the mediocre bit it's mostly done for a decade.  A popup year like last year happens once in a while but it's never really a real contender, a year-in year-out playoff team with a genuine chance, and I don't see things on a path to changing that.

So for me I'm just bored with years of this same shit, 6 years on the Kirk train, etc.  I watch the games because I love pro football.  And I'm not here to grind an axe of hating the g.m. or coach or anything else , but my take is just what I genuinely feel.  There are some players on the team who are fun to watch.  JJ is flat out jaw dropping at times.  But that's as far as it goes these days.

Oh I definitely think it's glee from some. There are those that only post when they lose so they must get some sick sense of enjoyment from it or love to gloat.

Realistically though, Vikings are on the outside looking in. Lions are probably going to win the division. It's crazy how the OL is grading and the improvement on defense. Playcalling is still an issue.
