Treadmill Advice
#1
Any treadmill users on here?  I'm looking to buy one for home use,  mostly walking or light jogging.   I dont plan on paying for any add on fitness apps or programs,   just figured I would turn some of my TV time in to fitness time.  I dont want a cheap model,   but I dont need one designed for a professional gym.  I'm about 6-2 and pushing 270 so its going to need to be fairly stout.  Any suggestions?
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Get the kind that holds the most hanging clothes.

I do an eliptical which is kinder on my joints.

My wife does a Nordictrack 1750. You dont have to buy the subscription for it to be perfectly useful.

Pretty much all treadmills get mixed reviews.  There will be people that had parts break all the way from models that go from $500-$10k.

Good luck!!

I got a stationary bike, do about 10 to 15 miles a day.  Lot easier on the joints for sure, especially at my age.  And really have to worry about the weather, whether it's too hot or too cold outside.

Thats not legal in my state yet. :p

I've got a fitness center membership and tried the eliptcals but couldnt find one that fit my stride,  always felt like I was going to somehow trip,  the stride was to short to get comfortable.

Thats my biggest thing is the negative reviews  for crap breaking and it doesn't seem like any of the companies have very good support.  I kind of ran into that trying to do some repairs in the machines at our fitness center,  20 phone calls and still couldn't get anywhere.   Had one company said they wouldn't help me unless I sent them a copy of proof of purchase,  how dumb is that?

Are there any brands to watch out for?

I use a stationary bike with a cardio program to interval train.  Have a hard time with a comfortable stride of an Elliptical and knees keep me away from a treadmill.  I love being able compare stats, session to session.  I use a Polar monitor collect the data with Polar Beat app and compare with Polar Flow, love being retired and staying in shape for guarding the sidewalk / lawn border.
