This is his main problem. Big body, but can't separate.

I'm guessing McCardell saw something he thinks he might be able to work with to bring him around.

Interesting...he can't create separation, but he is back to the WR with some of the most talented WRs (Jefferson/Addison...sure), and perhaps he can tweak his game to be able to create some separation.  Final chapter on this kid has not been written, I suspect.
