EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Wednesday announced the following 12 players have signed to the team's practice squad:
Receiver Trishton Jackson Receiver Lucky Jackson Cornerback Joejuan Williams Cornerback C.J. Coldon, Jr. Running back DeWayne McBride Cornerback Jaylin Williams Outside linebacker Luiji Vilain Defensive lineman T.J. Smith Outside linebacker Benton Whitley Defensive lineman Sheldon Day Offensive lineman Alan Ali Receiver Thayer Thomas Each of the players participated in Vikings Training Camp and the preseason. Trishton Jackson, Lucky Jackson, Coldon, McBride, Jaylin Williams, Vilain, Smith, Whitley, Ali and Thomas were waived Tuesday during the creation of Minnesota's Initial 53. The contracts for Joejuan Williams and Day were terminated Tuesday, making the veterans free agents. Teams are allowed up to 16 spots on their practice squads.

I really thought other than Pace, Villain stood out among the best on the defense this preseason. Glad they can hold onto him for now.
