Good rep from Murph
#1
Brown tries hard to get underneath the coverage, but Murphy doesn't let him. CB101.

Murphy was a good signing, underrated one at that.  Feels like when we're talking CB, fans focus on Peterson leaving and Murphy being a downgrade.  I don't think he will be.  Everyone behind him is up for debate though...  Blackmon has been making some noise and should be an upgrade over Chandon Sullivan.  Really need Evans to keep his head healthy.

That same play ought to concern the Cards. What was the QB seeing that would entice him to throw that?

I think a lot of fans over rated PP based on reputation,  I've said it few times the last couple years,  the only reason he didnt get exposed more was it was easier to throw at the other corners,  but when he was targeted it didnt seem like he was making a lot of plays that anybody else couldnt have made.  We really had no where to go but up.  I still kind of wish they have kept Sullivan around,  he played inspired for us down the stretch, something we dont always see from role guys.

I felt that P2 was playing on borrowed time last year. He had a lot of picks, which bumped his pff grade, but you could see his age on a lot of plays. Murphy is far from a shut-down corner, but he's 8 years younger than Peterson, and much more of a Flores corner. Evans staying healthy is key.

Dart by Cousins, nice concentration by Addison and a solid rep from Ingram, who appears to be holding off Brandel for now.

Wonder if he's going to be a precision, move the chains, yac guy vs take the top off the D kinda guy...

JJ was talking today that Murphy has impressed him the most of any Viking DB.

Definitely the first IMO. For a smaller guy, I don't think his deep game is quite to the level of, say, Zay Flowers, but he's a much better route runner and separator than I gave him credit for in the draft. A perfect complement to Jefferson.
