Sidenote: at the gym this morning on the Stairmaster and I overhear a younger guy talking to his buddy about Netflix's 'Quarterback'.....says he loves Cousins now (I'm in Boca Raton, FL for context) and that's he a normal chill dude and he loves that. Rooting hard for him. I just smiled.....that show has seriously changed the narrative for Cousins in Fan Nation. He's become so relatable.

Ha! I've heard that too. It's weird. I'd almost rather they go back to hating him. It was more fun.

So many long-term QBs have their best seasons between the ages of 34-37. I kinda have a hunch that will be true for Cousins as well.

Lets hope so.  The offense seems stacked.  Can the defense put together at least an average season?

Seems to be an annual theme. Get him some pass protection and he could be great. There is also the narrative that offensive line continuity is beneficial. On the other hand, it is still the same offensive line!
Why am I still skeptical?

Not sure how much better he could have been last season. And he took a buttload of hits. If your point is that the offensive line will still suck in pass protect this year, I 100% agree with you.....which is really disappointing. All of a sudden Cleveland and Ingram are going to make huge strides in pass protection??

Point is, he could be even better with better protection. That and an improved defense should add up to a truly competitive playoff team.

I think you just need one thing. Give me the Cousins of last year with what I have put in bold above and we'll be competitive in the playoffs.

Years of spending and drafting on offense has left the defense bereft of impact players and it shows. Flores can't be worse than Donatelle but I just hope we have the players to execute.
The offensive line: meh. I hope O'Neill is healthy and in top form or else it might be a long year for Kirk and his chiropractor.

Ingram should be better in year two.  That isn't unlikely.  How much? That we shall see.  I am hoping for a good jump.  Cleveland on the other hand is who he is by now.
