Loss is on Zim
#1
Okay yes it's kind of on Bradford's knee too but here's the thing, Case Keenum-- while not good by any means-- did not play us out of that game. PENALTIES did.

11 penalties for 131 yds is KILLER. How many 1st & 20s did we have? How many free yds did they get from pass interference calls? If you want to say that's on the players and not Zim then that's your call, but I tend to say the buck stops with the coaches and when a team plays sloppy, it's on coaching.

Time and again we shot ourselves in the foot. So frustrating to watch after we played a nearly perfect game against the Saints. Lots to clean up this week.

I do think Zim is a good coach and I'm glad we have him. But is he a great coach? I'm not sure.

Ah the age old debate among fans of the game!

I'm not going to give Zim a blank check pass, but man, players make the coaches in the NFL...

IMO Steelers win today 7.5/10 times - even if Bradford is playing. They're my pick to beat NE in the AFC CG.

A lot of those penalties are also because the other teams players are just better. I didnt watch all the game, but when I did?

Easton is an example of a player who (to my untrained OL eye) at times looked gassed and overmatched. shrug, it happens.

Now lets go beat The Bucs and keep Sam healthy the rest of the season.

potential league average OL meets potential SB DL... results were somewhat predictable at this point of the season I think...

Everyone knows how Pittsburgh plays. Stack the line and send everybody. Yet, nobody does anything about it. It's the same old base defense and the same old up the gut run game.  No screens, traps, reverses. No forcing the ball down Pittsburgh's throat.
At times I though the Vikings were playing the Packers the way the refs were calling the game.
Nice no call on pass interference by tripping Thielen. Nice 14 points given on pass interference by the Vikings. Nice 3 points by having to many men on the wrong side of the line? Nice missed extra point  on taking a bath.

The Vikings need a better left guard. That is the weakest link of the O.L.

No, not on Zim.  The Vikes D shot themselves in the foot so many times they have no toes left! Rapelesberger's best friend was pass interference and they took advantage of the gifts. It's a shame Keenum had to face this D in his first start.

What is on Zim is his faith in Waynes.

The penalties were brutal. There were a lot of field goals instead of touchdowns. Keenum did what he could but it was obviously rough because it was a game time decision.

Yeah, it´s ALWAYS the HC, OC, DC, STC, Strengthening Coach, Quality Assistant Coach, Players, etc.,.....but its NEVER the guy who CHOOSES the players or coaches.

SMH. There´s 1 common denominator connecting the Chilly Era and the present. When will Viking Fans figure it out.

I blame the whole damn deal on Blair Walsh. He murdered the entire team when he missed that 27 yard FG. All of their hearts died that day because they haven't played with heart since.

I'm only half kidding...

Yeah, it's called Zygmunt Wilf, the guy who recently extended Rick Spielman for years to come.   Keep sticking pins in your Ricky doll, lol.
