Players mocked to the Vikings post Combine
#1
CB-Deonte Banks
WR-Smith-Njigba
I'm seeing these two as the most consistent mocked to the Vikings. I'm concerned that Smith-Njigba will get snatched up before we pick.
Banks is the more likely of the two to be there at 23 but I'm still hoping for a trade down.

Outside of these two, who do you think we end up if we stay put?

in my view Booth, Needle, and Evans all need to play. Resign P2 and Shelly.

Same on the DL with Pat Jones.l, although we should draft another edge at some point.

I am all for Smith Njigba as this NFL is about scoring. If there is an opportunity o trade down for 2 seconds or to move up in Rd3, I see our priority needs as Mike, C, and QB.

I could also see this being the draft that KAM trades a 3rd and a 4th for a second next year trying  to position for QBOTF.

On the Mock Draft Compiler sites, Banks is Mocked to us the most at 23, but I have a feeling we won't be staying there.

I think we talk Jason Kelce into playing one more year in Minnesota. We then add a 1st tier free agent LB (Edmunds) and a 2nd-tier CB (Sutton), then trade down from 23 into the 30-40 range and draft QB Hendon Hooker. With our three 3rd rounders acquired in the trade down, we draft RB Tyjae Spears, WR Jayden Reed, and C/G Olusegun Oluwatimi.

Soinds like an offseason plan to me. Lets get Kwesi on the line. Hooker is a wild card in this draft.  I saw him against Howell last year and he was the best player on the field

Anyone know about Sewell?  He is very intriguing to me, coild he last to 3rd round?  I think we could use a masher in the middle of this D.

I dismissed him early on because of the offense he came from. No longer. I still think Levis is the best QB in this draft and it looks like he could drop into the teens, but I'm beginning to think Hooker in the 30s or 40s might be the best QB value in this draft.

Sewell would be good about 30 years ago. He can't move like LB needs to move these days. He should put on 75 lbs and play O-Line.

@supafreak84 is in love with him. I think he's like a Manti Teo, a good college ILB who may not have the range or coverage chops for the NFL. Could be wrong though. HIs combine numbers weren't that bad. Either way, from the rankings I'm seeing by draft analysts I trust, he should be available in the 3rd round.

I have a hunch what Flores wants next to Asamoah is an ILB who has the beef to stop the inside run and the length to rush the passer off the edge. There's one in free agency (Tremaine Edmunds) and two in the draft (Drew Sanders, Jack Campbell). Just seems like based on his comments about players having versatility and playing different roles, this kind of LB would appeal to him.
