this is interesting,  I thought that mega complex at the current site would have been enough to keep them on the hook in chicago.  of course this isnt likely a done deal just yet.  let the politicians have their say.

Kind of glad they are going to do this. Soldier Field is a shitty place to play. Bad turf, weather conditions always made it a little tougher on the Vikings.

Also, someone said something about the mega complex at the current. It really doesn’t seem possible. Soldier Field is between Lake Shore Drive and Lake Michigan. Where they’d put anything else and still accommodating the other attractions right near there would be nearly a miracle. Something I don’t think the brain trust of Chicago is capable of.

I always hate when we play there. They seem to consistently have one of the worst fields in the NFL and it always feel like there is a bigger risk for injuries there. I know that the trend is players pushing for grass playing fields, but Soldier Field seems to be one grass field that is terrible.

I dont think the Cardinals stadium field distinguished itself @ the SB either...

Governor of Illinois says the state is not going to contribute bucks for this.

Of course, the brown paper bags of cash haven't been distributed yet so take it with a grain of salt.
