At what point do we just say it... much like the people say to nawlins,  buffalonians need to just get the fuck out and light a fuse as they leave.   I can't imagine getting the kind of snow they've gotten in the last month and I've spent 50 years in a state that gets about 8 months of winter a year, and 4 months of  bad sledding.  Those poor bastards.

Its a shit show. I couldn't be paid to live in Buffalo. I know some wear it like a badge of honor, but that's bravado. I was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I put my time in and got the F out. Golf season was basically 3 months. Screw that.

I lived in Buffalo for 17 years as my last worl location, knew we were leaving when I retired.  Buffalo and surrounding areas are wonderful place to live with great people but  winter is toooo long and taxes far too high.  The northtowns typically only get a fraction of what they get in the lake effect zones.

There is nothing better than a Buffalo summer.

Wow...the twins are right in the middle of their driver's ed and I've been trying to impress upon them just how dangerous icy roads are, and how they're just not ready. Looks like I'll be showing some videos tonight. :-)

Ice storms are the absolute worst. Went through the 2007 ice storm in the Ozarks and was without power for nine days.

Lived in KC for 17 years, plenty of ice storms. Yep they are the worst.
