Post game thoughts

  • Kirk Cousins is as tough as nails. F$%^ing nails. And never misses a play. You can't question this guy's toughness
  • Asamoah is a Tasmanian devil. He's a ball of knives. He's getting more and more playing time. Once he does less YOLO stuff, he'll be a starter.
  • What a beautiful kick by Joseph. Perfection.
  • The Hockenson trade just keeps getting better like a fine wine.
  • Undefeated in one score games, lmao. It's unreal.
  • The ability to get plays made on both sides of the ball in crucial situations is limitless with this team. The well never runs dry. I've never seen anything like it.
  • The defense is awful. Truly horrible. There is zero doubt it'll be the reason Minnesota loses in the playoffs.
I'm enjoying the hell out of this ride. Its been so much fun. The D got me frustrated yesterday particularly, but it goes with the territory for the 2022 Vikings. 12-3!

Every team is good, and division games are toughest still.  Nonetheless, youre right - what a ride.  Team chemistry is off the charts

Howie Long after the game, "We still didn't learn anything about this team (Vikings)??" What is everyone searching for? This team I would argue this team's identity is the most defined in the NFL. They play and win close games. Stop expecting more."

Cousins toughness and durability is ridiculous. Sometimes you see a hit and you think, "oh damn...that's the one, he's not going to get up." But then he does. Every time. To show just how insane that is, at one point or another, to one degree or another, the following QBs have been hurt this year: Kyler, Lamar, Tua, Jimmy G, Stafford, Tannehill, Wentz, Dak, Winston, Teddy, Fields, Hurts, Mike White, Pickett, Lance...and I know I'm missing some.

Asamoah is going to be a star...as early as next season.

I think the culture change has maybe benefitted Joseph more than any other player. Twitter wanted his head a few weeks ago when he missed that PAT. Does he make that 61 yarder if Zimmer's coach? Is he even still on the team?

That first overhead shot makes you appreciate that catch even more.

Top of mind for me:
  • I will be disappointed if they dont win a wild-card game @ home, big changes in this fans expectations this year!
  • Vikings really need to win both divisional road games to keep #2 seed, I dont see that happening
  • Same concerns on D. Its opportunistic at times, but it's not in same league as NFC elite, I dont expect it to deliver a deep playoff run
  • Next years team may not post as gaudy a record in regular season, but it's hopefully more balanced across O vs D
  • A full year under a new system should help a lot in 23
  • When's the last time the Vikings ST's were this good? Will miss our ST's coach
  • Watched SF, Eagles and Cowboys yesterday and they are stronger on both side of the ball vs Vikings
  • What a wonderful regular season its been; happy for me, the fans, coaches and players

Divisional games are always a battle. And these two are away. It'll be tough to win them both. But I do think these are probably the two weakest teams we've faced in probably two months.
