Aaron Donald contract

If there is a player that deserves it, it's Donald.   The term "game changer" gets thrown around a lot,   but he is one of the few that truly deserve that handle..   I dont watch many non Vikings games or players very close,  but I really enjoy watching his game.

A key to his game: he's stayed relatively injury free. Pretty rare.

Greatest defensive player of all time? He's certainly in the conversation with Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White, et al.

Interesting that 90% of the Rams cap is going to a handful of players--Stafford, Donald, Ramsey, Kupp. Because of that, their roster has several places where it's league average and below.

yah, he's right up there with the greatest on the D side of the ball imo...How the Vikings passed on him for Barr? Still makes me a little queasy.

If you look at those names with the big $$ its very focused on the passing game or stopping the passing game. Welcome to this era of NFL ball..

The other thing they've done is those contracts they signed players to. Rent a Lombardi and damn the draft???

It's not a terrible idea. 4 of the last 7 Lombardis have gone to teams with a hired gun QB. Interestingly, 8 of the last 9 were won by QBs who were not drafted to be their team's franchise QB.

Honestly, when you look back on the Aaron Rodgers era so far in Green Bay....as good as he is and has been....they've severely underperformed in the playoffs. Gotten there a ton but lost some pretty horrible games they either should have won or lost at the end. I mean he's gotten to 2 Superbowls, winning one but look at their playoff history with him: he's 11-10 in the playoffs. If you take away his Superbowl winning year, his playoff record is 8-11. Tom Brady's playoff record is 34-11 by comparison, which is just f#$%ing ridiculous.

I hadn't really thought about it but I was watching some NFL playoff compilation highlight video last week and I was like, "Wow, they've lost some brutal games in the playoffs". Actually under Favre as well. Hadn't realized it. I'm too focused on the Vikings horrible playoff losses  :'(

Actually Rodgers has only gotten to 1 Super Bowl.  But your point still stands.
