Possible our punt returners are struggling to field the ball. Sherels may not have been a great return man, but at least you knew he was always going to catch the ball.

The Vikings have agreed to terms free agent receiver Albert Wilson on a one-year contract, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus.
Wilson and Dede Westbrook worked out for the team Tuesday.

Nonguaranteed minimum contract so no point getting worked up over it, but this signing does seem a little odd. Wilson is 29 and has never done much, and I keep reading how solid our young WR depth is. It might be like others have said— no one can catch a punt. Would be a shame to have to burn a roster spot because of that though. Hmm

Doesnt bode well initially for my nailor hope. I looked up his stats he has a few kick returns, but no punt returns. offensive gadget guy.  Nothing stood out except 1 thing. He has ZERO career fumbles. I would guess his touches are about 300 or so.

I thought he was a pretty good punt returner.  He always caught the ball which is a huge part of PR.  And he was shifty and could read the holes quite well.  IIRC he was always ranked pretty high on net return average.
