My mom died.
#1
I haven't been around much, but I still have some friends here and thought I'd let them know.  Short version, she went in for an abdominal blockage surgery on
March 7th(her second blockage since Aug 2021), there were complications
and she was pronounced dead on March 27th.  I am executor of her estate
and been busy with that.

During this time
the company I drive for sold to another company in Panora Iowa.  About 2
hours south of me, so I basically lost my job the same week I buried my
mom.

Cool.  Cool.

I think I've hit a bit of a rough patch...

Sorry to hear Bezerker - When it rains it unfortunately pours. But the sun does come out again. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

We've never met but I've enjoyed your posts and content you've provided over the years.  My heart goes out to ya my purple bro.
The last couple of years have been tough on many of us-I too buried my mother and went through a late in life career change.
Head up and full steam ahead.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your mom, Bezerker, and your job as well. It’s hard enough to go through a job loss let alone losing your mom at the same time. I am sending condolences and well wishes for you, and praying for you and your family…

I am so sorry for your loss Zerk. Sending positive and healing vibes. Sucks about the job loss on top of losing your mom. Be well and take care of you. I know this is a very difficult time but lean on those that are close to you when you need to.

Sorry to hear about your mom.  I know from the type of person you are, your creativity, humor and spirit that she was an amazing person and incredible mom.  It is really painful to lose your mom, it will be 6 years tomorrow for me and really miss her like crazy.
