#Packers FA CB Chandon Sullivan is heading to Minnesota for a visit with the #Vikings, source said. He could rejoin assistant head coach for defense Mike Pettine, as the two were together in Green Bay.

Chandon Sullivan’s 2021 ranking out of 41 slot CBs via PFF (min. 117 snaps):

• 4th in snaps/reception

• T3 in snaps/target

• 10th in yards/snap

Did not have this guy on my radar.

Sullivan spent the last three years with the Packers and appeared in every game the team played over that time. He started 20 times over the last two seasons and finished his run in Green Bay with 102 tackles, five interceptions, an interception return for a touchdown, and a forced fumble.
If Sullivan does land a job with the Vikings, he’ll see some familiar faces. Vikings assistant head coach Mike Pettine was the Packers’ defensive coordinator for Sullivan’s first two seasons with the team and former Packer Za'Darius Smith signed with the Vikings this week.

ugh,  those stats sound pretty decent,  why do we not remember this guy?  granted he is being graded on his play in the slot,  but that is a bitch of a position to play and his numbers are damn respectable.  Is he a restricted FA where nobody wants to mess with him since the puke can just match the offer of what is the case here?

He isn't as good as his stats, but he still would be a good addition. He can play the slot but maybe they can at least move that down the list of DB needs. If not in the slot he's still a decent 4th CB to have on the roster. Seems like a low risk move that could have some value to it.

I think Sullivan would be pretty good addition considering they got nobody.

But seriously, the dude played every game over the last three seasons, with 20 starts over the last two years (10 each season).
He played 827 snaps (76%) last year and had a career-high with three interceptions.
In 2020, he played 729 snaps (71%).
The majority of these snaps (90% or so) were in the slot too.

He is 25 and turns 26 Aug 7th so he still has upside.
His combine 40 time was 4.6 but he was having hamstring trouble.

After having to push back his Pro Day, Sullivan vastly improved his 40-yard dash time, and was timed in the 4.48-4.51 range.  He had a 40 1/2" vertical and a 11'2" broad jump.

When we open the cornerback cupboard, we see nothing right now.

I'll take him!
