They can still convert Hunters bonus, so that is probably gonna be part of it.

In a daft salary cap maneuver, Brez converts Spielman’s & Zimmer’s salary’s to termination bonuses, opening up double secret cap money. Putting the cap myth on full display once again…  Wink :p

I think it actually means Barr is certainly not coming back.  Though if they move Hunter maybe they keep Barr and see how he does with Z on the other side.

They shouldn't have to make another move to sign Smith to his deal. The 1st year cap hit will be around $5-6M. Once they file Thielen's restructure and sign Mannion they can ink Smith and still sit about $1.5-$1.6M under the cap. Eventually they'll have to make another move.
