The Eight GM Candidates

Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, Browns vice president of football operations, age 40. Adofo-Mensah succeeded Eliot Wolf in Cleveland after seven seasons with the 49ers, including as director of football research and development. He played basketball at Princeton and worked on Wall Street before joining the 49ers in 2013. He interviewed for Carolina’s GM job in 2021.
Brandon Brown, Eagles director of player personnel, age 33. Brown, a former Fordham defensive back, joined the Eagles in 2017 after two seasons with the Colts and two at Boston College. He holds a law degree from Barry University and won a Super Bowl in his first season with Philly.

Ryan Poles, Chiefs executive director of player personnel, age 36. Poles is finishing his 13th NFL season, all with the Chiefs, including six years as college scouting director. He played on the offensive line at Boston College and blocked for Matt Ryan. Poles interviewed twice with Carolina for the Panthers’ GM job in 2021.
Catherine Raîche, Eagles vice president of football operations, age 32. Raîche formerly was assistant GM for the Montreal Alouettes and has been with the Eagles since 2019, first as football operations coordinator. She holds a law degree from University of Sherbrooke.

Monti Ossenfort, Titans director of player personnel, age 43. A four-time Super Bowl winner with the Patriots, Ossenfort has spent the last two seasons with Tennessee after 15 in New England. Ossenfort interviewed for the Browns’ GM job in 2020 and the Panthers’ job in 2021. A quarterback at Minnesota Morris in the late 1990s, Ossenfort was the Patriots’ college scouting director under Nick Caserio and Bill Belichick.

John Spytek, vice president of player personnel, age 42. A former linebacker at Michigan under Lloyd Carr, Spytek worked in personnel for the Lions, Eagles, Browns and Broncos before joining the Buccaneers under GM Jason Licht in 2016. He won a Super Bowl with the Bucs last season.

Eliot Wolf, New England Patriots consultant, age 39. Wolf joined the Patriots in 2020 after two seasons as the Browns’ assistant GM. He spent the previous 14 seasons with the Packers, winning a Super Bowl as assistant director of pro personnel.

Glenn Cook, Cleveland Browns vice president of player personnel, age 37. Drafted by the Chicago Cubs as an outfielder in 2009, the former University of Miami linebacker joined the Browns in 2016 as assistant director of pro scouting. He previously worked for the Packers and Colts.

Impossible to know who will be good or not. But we can still have some personal guesses obviously. For me, whomever they choose I will then rationalize why they'll be good for the franchise.  =)
