I believe you can interview GM's at any time, but HC candidates that are in the playoffs right now have a small window of opportunity to do so. Might as well get interviews done now and then have whoever's chosen as GM look over the pool of candidates.

It's pretty interesting.

They have stated the GM will hire the HC. So, are they(the new Triangle of Authority) going to present said GM with a list of guys to choose from? Are they going to have a say in who the GM wants?

On O'Connell, he's another guy I remember being drafted not long ago. I also remember him being somewhat of a QB training specialist after his career ended. Again, a little leery of a guy who doesn't call plays because you know McVay runs that show on offense. At least with Kellen Moore you know he is the play caller and ring leader for that Dallas offense, which is impressive because you know for McCarthy to give up play calling duties he had to have complete trust in Moore because most offensive coaches are control freaks who want to run their own show. This coaching search is going to be very interesting to see who they ultimately end up hiring.
