Here's the reality: Green Bay has a knack for winning games. Minnesota has a knack for losing games. Its been like that through the Favre/Rodgers era with just a few exceptions. We call the Packers 'lucky' or aided by the refs, been hearing this for 25 years, but the reality is Green Bay just figures out a way to win close game more often than not and Minnesota figures out a way to lose games in the same situation more often than not. Not always, of course.....but the majority of the time.
I don't believe in fate or curses. But unless you have a strong vein of sunshine of the eternal optimist coursing thru your fan body, I just find myself not expecting anything other than a bitter pill at some point in the season's journey for the Purple. And I think conversely, Packer fans feel the opposite. For this game, 3-0 in the turnover department was the issue with one TO being especially hurtful. Their record is what they are, same with the Vikings. But having said that, I don't think Green Bay is the best team in the NFC.
