"Modern NFL Requires Mobile QBs"
#1
Anyone else watching the Tannehill-led Titans destroying the Chiefs, along with recent INT-dispenser Mahomes?

Of course, the defending champs have the King of all statue QBs...huh.

Hey, I'm very aware of how good some of these scampering kids can be...but, I keep thinking about the people here that seemingly would've traded all of our picks for the next decade for a Houston QB facing a slew of molestation charges...because he's mobile and talented.  However, the same people that disregard his 4-12 record with the Texans won't forgive our QB's 7-9 record...even knowing our defense  and protection were junk last season.

I think Ws come from teams, folks.
LET'S WREAK SOME FUGGIN' HAVOK, VIKINGS!!! SKOL!!!

Brady is a GOAT exception and his OL gives him stellar protection. Plus he is about as accurate and quick as it gets.

OTOH you have someone like Rogers who has just enough movement skills and savvy to be extremely dangerous outside the pocket and give his OL a break all at the same time.

OTOOH, you have someone like KC; who has little to no movement skills, doesnt make plays (ala Rogers) outside of the pocket much and needs an OL ala GB or TB to be effective. Not a sin as most qb's wither with pressure.

Would I trade KC and his skill-set for an athlete ala Lamar Jackson? Not sure about that. Not when I look at the efficiency and #'s he's putting up as his protection has improved.

If my trade-off is athleticism for mediocre accuracy, poor decision making? Well we can just watch Baltimore's playoff games the last few years to know how I'll vote.

If I can get some athleticism and accuracy/decision making ala Mahomes? That's a very easy decision. In spite of Mahomes having a down year to date.

The "certain type of qb" that you need to win narrative is such a silly thing as it changes all the time. Plus, we won't know what you need until Brady retires. The one thing that stands the test of time is you have to have at least an average OL to go deep in the playoffs. If you pair that with a defense that can get pressure with just four then you have a great chance to win it all.

Id trade them for a Kurt Warner who gets the ball out in 3 seconds or under...

...BTW...I cant wait to hear Mahommes girlfriends texts / excuses / whining THIS week. Its truly better than the games themselves

She and his brother are the worst. I have nothing against Mahomes but them two make it hard to really like him

Back in Sept/August I would have put a lot of $ on a Bills/Chiefs AFCCG...

I dont follow the Chiefs enough to know why they are struggling some ytd.

It's not though. Remmers just replaced starter Lucas Niang this week. Niang had allowed 8 QB hurries in the game against the Bills and was benched this week in favor of Remmers.

Remember what the Chiefs did this offseason? They added Orlando Brown Jr., the guy we all wanted, then signed Joe Thuney, the guy we all wanted, drafted two rookies in Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith and hit home runs on both of them. And guess what? They're all playing well, too. So what gives?

I've read that teams are doing better against Mahomes by not blitzing. That's kind of a Zimmer thing, too. Saw it again yesterday in the Cincinnati game. Drove Lamar Jackson batty. He'd drop back and have nowhere to throw because the Bengals rushed 4 and dropped everyone else back.
