I know, tensions over vaxx status and so forth...but it really seems like Zimmer is fully hostile towards his starting QB. This isn't shocking, as he's rarely been complimentary Broward any Vikings QB not Teddy...but he was quick to specifically throw KC under the bus (he was our highest rated offensive player), almost dismissive about the piles of penalties that cost us a field's yardage in the first half, and defended Breeland (most missed tackles of any defender in week 1).

They need to get over it, or the tension will kill the team.

Beginning of the end of an era...Zimmer is gone after this year. Shame is I think Cousins could be an elite QB with a serviceable OL and any fucking continuation at coordinator.

I think it goes both ways. Cousins is not a Zimmer fan either. The revolving door of offensive coordinators was not helpful. Zimmer has to be on the hot seat if things continue to go south.

Zimmer's moody bitch act seems to fascinate the media, but it has nothing to do with building a winner. It's good for the press, that's all.

Cousins doesn't have the internal stuff to ever be elite. That's why when everyone says Rodgers and Brady are elite because of their OL... they are the ones making them look THAT good by getting the ball out in time and extending plays by navigating the pocket. Kirk doesn't have that and never will or he'd have shown it by now.

Yeah, Rodgers looked BRILLIANT yesterday with a less than stellar line. For that matter, both SF and TB have kicked his ass out of the playoffs by showing that he's as prone to bad pressure plays as anyone.

I've never seen Brady be successful without pretty amazing line play. Am I saying Cousins is at their level? No...but I'm also saying that I've never seen the Vikings, at least in the last decade, give QBs the kind of protection that the best teams do. This problem has destroyed a few of our QBs while we've stayed geared up as a running offense.

It ain't workin'.
