Without him and Davis, our “upgraded” O-line is suddenly not upgraded much at all.

Dozier out, Dozier’s backup in (maybe)

Cleveland moving to the left sounds promising but these moves are not neary significant enough to improve what was a dreadful OL last year. Credit the FO for trying but now I’m wondering what it will amount to.

Hopefully the new line coach can get this unit to league-average. And I really hope Darrisaw is okay. Ugh!

I wouldn't say that. Like I said when they were drafted, I didn't think it was likely that Darrisaw would start right away, and even if he did, most of our improvement would come from natural growth and development of Cleveland, Bradbury and O'Neill. While I did expect Davis to start at RG and upgrade that position, Udoh looks like a player who will be the kind of upgrade over Dozier we were hoping for.

Still, the Darrisaw news is not good. If he hopes to start at LT at some point this year, he's going to need reps in training camp and he's not getting them. Worse, Hill has had his ups and downs.

Wasn't Brandel a LT in college? Does this increase his chances of making the team, as a back up to Hill?

A source confirms Christian Darrisaw was away from the team yesterday because he's getting a second opinion on his groin injury that he played through last fall and was surgically repaired in January.

OC Klint Kubiak just said they're taking it slow with the top pick.
