Unknown quantity with great upside.

I'd rather get Kellen Mond if we're taking a QB today.  I don't see it with Mills, but I've been wrong before on QBs.

He's an intriguing guy I didn't know much about. I spent the better part of a day watching all the 2nd and 3rd tier QBs and he wasn't one of them. Didn't even notice him until I watched Fehoko, whom I love as a middle round receiver target.

Watched some clips this morning and he throws a beautiful ball. Good poise, OK mobility. Also like that he's a former 5-star recruit.

Sounds like Trask, MIlls and Mond are neck and neck as the next three QBs. But I don't think all three go in the 2nd round.

I predicted the Vikings would take Darrisaw and then move into the 2nd to take their QB. I hope that's the not the case though. If the Vikings move up, I hope it's for a starting edge, wide, or even a guard. If they keep the picks they have, they're going to add a ton of talent to this roster.

Because of the better athleticism? I get that. More modern NFL QB-ish, although Mills is not a statue either. I like Mond also.

Both are a huge risk. Is it worth to go after in the 2nd round with so many quality players there in the 2nd? I lean no

I like Trask's ascending numbers. 69% completion rate, 43/8 TD to INT ratio is crazy. Yeah, he's not gonna run a 4.5 40, but if my QB is regularly running 40's, he's going to be carrying a clipboard in 5 yrs.

I just like what I've heard on Mond regarding the mental side of the game. That is the most important trait for these guys transitioning from college to pros, can they process quickly and do they have that inner fire to work?  I think Mond has that

I think the Vikings need to see how the 2nd round starts and go from there.  Lots of good players left.  Honestly, if they are looking for a QB they should probably just get him as quickly as possible before the next run starts.  They have plenty of picks to go up and get a guy AND still select 4-5 players in the 3rd and 4th round.

It just feel like all the homework they did on these QBs this off-season means they are in the market for a guy to develop behind Kirk.  If that's true, don't mess around.

If they really want a QB then I agree, go get him right away. I'm just saying that I dont like either enough to lose quality draft picks when there are a ton of studs at bigger needs still out there. It's not like this QB is playing this year anyway, where a different position could be. Tonight is going to be fun
